Whew. Classes have been pretty exhausting lately, but I'm just glad Halloween is over with. I will be very, very happy if I never see another . . whatever those were, again.

It's kind of sad that all the babies are gone, though.

Weird. It's totally wrong; I'm not nervous. I guess..

[The noises of a happy gathering can be heard, specifically Katara speaking quite cheerfully with an older woman. An adult man's laugh cuts in at one interval, hearty and deep.]

Mom.. Dad.. I missed you.

[Katara's fantasy is about home, and she is with her mother, who is dead, and her father, who has left for war. Her tribe is also sufficiently larger, closer to its original size before the waterbenders of the Southern water tribe were systematically executed.]

What exactly is this thing? It's huge? What's so big and..and sticky that it can carry all these people and stuff?

It's crushing everything!! This is terrifying!

A blanket and a light? Was that really the best they could come up with? Sheesh. More pathetic than I thought. Well, no, I'm not afraid of the dark, but I do sleep with a blanket.

It's a sealskin, from home. It's too warm for this weather, so I don't sleep with it on top of me, but it's very soft, and it comforts me. If that's weakness, well, then, I don't really care.

I'm glad I signed up for the Tai Chi, though waking in the morning..I thought it would be easy, since I did so often at home, but since I got in the habit of sleeping in, here, it's gotten a little harder. I guess it's best to end bad habits as soon as I can.

Trucy, you were amazing today! You did really, really well - the second highest scorer, and that's just because Allen got that home run. Congratulations!

I just woke up - Trucy's still asleep. We had a slumber party here at my dorm, last night. It was really fun, she brought chocolate pudding and we just stayed up talking. I think it helped make the storm we had a lot less scary for her.

It looks like there are less rumors this time, and last week the Grapevine was canceled altogether. All right! These nasty rumors are out the door, hopefully.

Whoever it is that keeps spreading those nasty rumors about Trucy, I'm watching for you. I will find you. She's such an innocent person! How dare you spread nasty lies about her!

I guess I'll end this here. She'll probably wake up soon, and then we can get some breakfast.

Ah, thankfully, it seems like my biggest problem with the heat had to do with my clothes being so warm - thanks, Ella, for helping me fix that. That mall we went to was amazing - so much stuff!!

Tonks, thanks for inviting me to play Twister. It was a fun game, although I don't think I'm very good at it. At least I wasn't playing for clothes..

Trucy, there's not much going on. Do you want to do something some time this week?

It rained today. That was bliss. I absolutely love it when it rains. It mostly snows at home.

Some people here seem to be absolute jerks. I hope I don't ever run into these idiots.

It looks like I may need some new clothes - the ones I have are too thick, and too warm. If it were the humidity, that wouldn't be so much of a problem. But it's just too hot.
